8. Palácio da Bolsa, Porto

Palácio da Bolsa, or Palácio da Associação Comercial do Porto, has traces of 19th century neoclassical and Tuscan architecture. It is currently part of the Porto Commercial Association and is now used for the most diverse cultural, social and political events in the city. Sala Árabe is the most prominent of all the rooms in the palace, due to its 19th century stuccoes, captioned in gold with Arabic characters.

 

9. Serralves Foundation, Porto

The Serralves Foundation is located at Parque Serralves in the city of Porto, where Casa Serralves and the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art are located. Created in 1989, the House and the Park are the realization of Carlos Alberto Cabral's dream. The house was designed by the Portuguese architect Marques da Silva and is considered a unique example of Art Deco architecture in Portugal.
