Is smoking permitted inside Guerin vehicles?
No. Smoking is expressly prohibited inside all Guerin vehicles. The detection of any evidence indicating non-compliance with this rule will result in the client being charged a penalty of €150.
Is there a mileage limit during the rental contract period?
Yes. All Guerin rental contracts are subject to a maximum limit of 2,000 kilometres. Should this limit be exceeded, each additional kilometre will be charged at €0.12.

Is it necessary to wash the Guerin vehicle before returning it?
No. The Guerin vehicle does not need to be washed before return. However, should the level of dirt require special cleaning procedures, an additional charge may be applied, in accordance with the following criteria:
Level 1 — €92.25: Vehicles presenting unusual levels of dirt, namely:
- Interior: food remnants, glass or plastic bottles, papers, packaging or cardboard boxes, nappies, animal hair and sand (on seats, rugs, carpeting, boot and compartments).
- Exterior: mud or earth in wheel arches or on the bodywork.
Level 2 — €184.50: Dirt as described in Level 1, plus unusual levels of dirt on the bodywork (for example, mud).
Level 3 — €369: Stains on seats, animal hair and sand on more than one upholstered surface or in the boot.
Where can I rent commercial vehicles from Guerin?
The client may rent commercial vehicles at any Guerin station, although some exceptions may occur due to fleet unavailability. It is therefore recommended that availability be confirmed in advance with the desired station or the Reservations Centre.
Can I use a Guerin vehicle outside of Portugal?
Yes, subject to the mandatory purchase of the Cross Border product. This product allows the client to take the vehicle out of the country and drive in the mainland territory of the following countries:
Andorra, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Slovenia, Spain, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland.
Failure to purchase the Cross Border product before entering one of the authorised countries, as well as entering any country not on the above list, will result in the application of penalties, including the payment of a fine.
The Cross Border product is only available for purchase at stations in mainland Portugal. Although driving in the indicated countries is permitted, returning the vehicle outside a mainland Portugal station is not allowed, unless expressly authorised by Guerin or through the specific purchase of this service via the respective digital channels (when available).
